1. Visit your school library. Is there a qualified librarian available to work with students? Are the books and resources up to date? Children cannot be educated to live and work in the 21st century using resources from the 1970s. Let your principal and school board know of your concerns.

FOR YOUR CHILD'S ACHIEVEMENT 

     Across the United States and many countries, research has shown that students in schools with good school libraries learn more, get better grades, and score higher on standardized test scores than their peers in schools without libraries. There is "clear evidence of this connection between student achievement and the presence of school libraries with qualified school library media specialists."

SCHOOL LIBRARIANS HAVE A CRUCIAL  ROLE IN TEACHING

     Librarians are an important instructional partners or consultants to classroom teachers in supporting and expanding existing curriculum. They work with classroom teachers and support effective and exciting learning opportunities with books, technology and more.

Please be informed of the following schedule for the English library. The last day for students to check-out books is Friday, July 5th. All books must be returned to the library by Wednesday, July 17th. The English library is open for after-school reading and studying until Wednesday, July 17th. The English library is closed for students from Thursday, July 18th.  The library volunteers will be doing an inventory of books on this day.

The English library will open again on Tuesday, September 3rd.

영어 도서관 일정을 안내해 드리겠습니다.학생들이 마지막으로 책을 대출할 수 있는 날짜는 7월 5일 금요일입니다. 모든 책은 7월 17일 수요일까지 반납이 되어야 합니다. 영어 도서관은 7월 17일 수요일까지 방과후 수업과 학업을 위해 개방될 것입니다. 7월 18일 목요일은 영어 도서관을 열지 않습니다. 봉사자들과 함께 책 재고 정리를 할 예정입니다. 

그리고 영어 도서관은 9월 3일부터 다시 이용할 수 있습니다.
